Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be bet on in casinos throughout the world, or in your house on your computer, through a web connection. The game rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player attempting to achieve the best combination of cards possible in order to come away with cash. On this account it is much the same as a normal game of poker, minus the involvement with any other players. Of course, methods used in a real-life game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant here.
The game of Video Poker starts when the bettor puts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and pushes the play button. A hand of 5 cards will be electronically ‘dealt’ on the screen.
The Electronic Poker game also has hold buttons, and gamblers will need to now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, from all to none.
After the bettor has selected which cards he would like to keep, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards are given out if desired. The hand is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the payment schedule.
Typically, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the pay out schedule can change from machine to machine, so that skillful players are agile enough to select the most profitable game each instance.
As soon as the first round has finished, the player can either choose to remain on and try to to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that might have been won. Additionally, a few versions of the game give the gambler an opportunity to double their profits, in which case another round is played. There are also variations between specific games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing aspects to enhance playability.
