Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be gambled on in casinos across the world, or in your house on your PC, using a web connection. The rules are absolutely simple and involve the player trying to get the best assemblage of cards as you can in order to come away with money. In this respect it is much the same as a classic game of poker, minus the involvement with any other players. Of course, techniques employed during a physical game of poker, such as tricking, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.
The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler inserts credits (whether it is tokens, tickets or money) into the machine and pushes the play button. A five card hand will be "given out" on the screen.
The Video Poker machine also has hold buttons, and bettors will need to now decide which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the player wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the player has decided on which cards he wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be needed they will be given out. The hand is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the payout schedule.
Normally, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the pay out schedule can vary from game to game, so that discerning gamblers are agile enough to select the most profitable game each and every time.
Once the first round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Additionally, a few versions of the game allow the enthusiast a chance to increase their wins, in which instance another hand is played. There are also differences among specific games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying aspects to increase playability.
