How to Play Electronic Poker
October 3rd, 2019 by Cornelius

Electronic Poker is a beloved game that is able to be gambled on in casinos across the globe, or in your house on your home computer, through an Internet account. The rules are very simple and consist of the player trying to get the highest combination of cards possible in order to win cash. In this respect it’s much the same as a normal game of poker, without the line of contact with any other players. Of course, tactics used in a real-life game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless here.

The game of Video Poker starts when the player inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the deal button. A hand of 5 cards will be "dealt" on the video screen.

The Video Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and gamblers will need to now choose which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the bettor would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, whether it is all or none.

After the enthusiast has chosen which cards he would like to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, which will mean that any fresh cards are given out if desired. The hand is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.

Typically, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the pay out schedule can range from game to game, so that experienced enthusiasts are agile enough to choose the most profitable ones each and every instance.

After the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Further, several versions of the game give the player a chance to double their winnings, in which situation another round is played. There are also variations among specific games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing elements to enhance playability.
