Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be played in casinos throughout the world, or in your house on your home computer, using a web connection. The game rules are very simple and consist of the player attempting to achieve the greatest combination of cards achievable in order to win money. On this account it’s much the same as a normal game of poker, apart from the involvement with any other players. The game of Video Poker starts when the player puts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the machine and presses the deal button. A five card hand will then be "distributed" on the video screen.

After the player has chosen which cards he or she would like to retain, they should press ‘deal’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be dealt if desired. The hand is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.
Normally, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the pay out schedule can range from game to game, so that experienced gamblers are agile enough to pick the most beneficial game each and every time.
As soon as the first round has completed, the player can either choose to remain on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that they may have won. Further, some styles of the game give the bettor a chance to increase their profits, in which situation a further game is played. There are also differences between specific machines, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other varying aspects to increase playability.
